The upcoming 2021 SHOT Show®, taking place January 19-22, promises to be fully loaded with a new expanded show floor, new opportunities to grow or move your booth location and new opportunities to grow your business. To help you navigate the exhibiting process, the SHOT Show team at NSSF® and ConvExx offer these 10 things every exhibitor needs to know before space selection and booth changes are held June.
- We Heard You. In March, NSSF announced that we had moved the due date for the second SHOT Show installment payment from April 3 to June 5 to allow exhibitors time to sort out their individual circumstances in light of the uncertainty of the COVID-19 national emergency. Accordingly, space selection/booth changes were moved as well and will now take place June 16-19 and June 22-26.
- Help Us Help You. Your SHOT Show account must be up to date prior to space selection/booth changes, so please be sure you have processed your second booth payment, due June 5, prior to space selection.
- Flexibility is Key. Assess whether your current booth structure is modular and can be changed up to accommodate different sizes and configurations. There will be many more opportunities to move booths this year than we have had in past shows due to the expansion, and you may miss out on these opportunities if you are not prepared to commit to varying sizes and configurations.
- Booth Change Requests. If you put in a limited range of options in terms of booth size or location, then there will be limited options provided to you during space selection. The more willing you are to learn about options, the more likely you will find opportunities during space selection. The deadline to request booth changes is June 1. You can request a booth change here.
- Membership Matters. Space selection and booth changes are done in order of SHOT Show priority points and NSSF membership level. Patron and Supporting members of NSSF select their locations before non-members. You must be a member in good standing on June 1, 2020. Expired memberships will not be included when members pick. You can join NSSF here.
- Ask Questions. We are here to help, whether it be during space selection or beforehand. We can guide you in terms of traffic patterns, locations of different companies, benefits and pitfalls of different areas, etc.
- Decision Time. Each call is allotted only 10 minutes, so time will be of the essence. All decision makers need to be present and available, as there will not be time for follow-up meetings and call backs. Once your call is completed, the next exhibitor in line will be called. Booths cannot be held awaiting a response.
- Caesars Forum is Ready. It was scheduled to host the NFL Draft recently and all that remains to be done is some landscaping, which was postponed due to Nevada Governor Sisolak’s quarantine executive order. Davidson’s, Lipsey’s, LWRCI, Realtree and Ruger have already committed to exhibit at Caesars Forum per the floor layout found here. There are four ways to access Caesars Forum—the sky bridge from the LINQ and Harrah’s hotels, monorail, shuttle bus drop-off at the main entrance and the sky bridge from the Sands Expo. If you want to see what the Forum looks like, including the modern and fully-carpeted exhibit space, you can click here for a detailed fly-through of the building and all its indoor and outdoor areas.
- Move-in/Move-out. Move-in for Caesars Forum officially begins Saturday. Move-out will begin at the close of the show on Friday.
- Research the New Layout. Prior to the Space Selection, and subject to availability to tour the new Forum, we will provide virtual “walk-throughs” of the new Caesars Forum and its proximity to the Sands, as well as the monorail, adjacent hotels, and LINQ Promenade. Please keep an eye on the SHOT Show news feed and your email for opportunities to see the newly expanded SHOT Show layout before making your decisions regarding booth space.
